Happy St. Patrick's Day. A meaningful and beautiful Irish Hymn for this day.
Sometimes witty, always original. But it's my little home on the blogosphere, and I like it.

My life at this particular moment in time

Trying to write like mad, feeling madder still that the blank screen taunts me. I scream in my head 20 times a day 'give me a lead, give me a lead. My kingdom for a lead'. OK, it doesn't always come out like that but it's pretty close. If I could just start a story, I'm sure it would flow.
But then again, even on the stories that start, I struggle. They don't flow like a steady wide river. They're more crooked and shallow, like a mountain stream. But not in a good way like cool water on a hot day. In a bad way, like dying of thirst and you can't cup enough water to drink. They're jagged, the words hit rocks and splay in different directions.
Needless to say, I'm frustrated.
Even when stories do start to flow, I find myself trapped with quotation marks and paragraphs and sentence structure. How do I make my subject jump off the page? I'm reading and reading good literature, good literature on how to write good literature, and good writers on writing good literature. But it doesn't seem to be moving from head to fingers to page.
Enough lamenting. Back to writing.
