Trading Spaces

We've been going like stink getting ready for me to move and to get our mobile home ready for selling. All in all, one rapid week has gone by and in one more rapid week, I will be tossing and turning in a stranger's house waiting for my first day of work at my new job. Yikes things move quickly!

My parents came up to help us out last Saturday. I worked and Justin and both my parents worked on the house all day. They painted our family room and raked up 20 BAGS of pinecones, grass etc from our yard. Whoa! My mom packed for us all evening while we went out for our farewell BBQ with work, and Dad put back all our fixtures in our bathroom we had taken down to paint the week before.

Yes, reader, this is my father and my husband chopping snow with an axe and shovelling it. They were aiding the melting process to make our yard look more attractive. What a team!

We had a very bright and obtrusive colour of orange everywhere in the bathroom. When we both started to get the feeling that I just might get this new job, we figured we should make the bathroom more attractive. We were going to paint teal accent colours but have really run out of time and steam on that project, so it's just white. But it looks 100 times better than before.

Oh, that's what old newspapers are good for!
