Isaac's Favourite things

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens...

Wait. That's not it.

Isaac does like kitties though. He makes a little tst tst sound when he sees them, even in books. It's cute.

He loves being outside, and does a little happy feet dance whenever he has his shoes on. I think he likes the sound of his shoes on the ground. He also loves his shoes, and is constantly bringing them to us in the hopes of getting to go outside.
And he LOVES rocks. I cannot emphasize this love enough. Sticks will do in a pinch, and he often carries chalk around outside. But rocks are the awesomenest thing ever.

His favourite toys are probably his tunnel, his big blue car, his fire engines, his pyramid, and most of all, anything that's not a toy. Things he's not allowed to touch are especially fun toys, like cupboard doors, remotes, speakers and heaters.

His fave foods are probably grilled cheese sandwiches, blueberries and grapes, oatmeal, muffins, breads and anything sweet we let him have (cookies, ice cream, cake etc.)
He likes to be where the action is, and protests loudly if he's not up at the counter when Mommy's making dinner. Unfortunately the only chair I trust him to stand on is a huge wicker one which takes up the width of our galley kitchen and also, wicker has lots of little crevices for when little hands are helping to "stir" pancake batter.
This is Isaac helping Grandma at her house. You can tell she's got much more experience in the kid department, she finds lots of ways for Isaac to "help" with cooking! (And I think they both enjoy it lots!)
And my favourite thing to do with Isaac is take him to the park and watch him enjoy being outside. Last week we took him to Cultus Lake and it almost felt like a vacation just laying on our picnic blanket, watching our son play with rocks and water and see the waves. It was wonderful, though not as good as our cruise we recently went on! I will have to blog about that soon!
